The Claire Friedlander Family Foundation is pleased to continue our support of the 11th Annual Long Island Imagine Awards which was held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 as a hybrid event, with over 450 guests in attendance and a live stream simulcast of the event.
Over 190 nonprofit applications were submitted to win $5,000 grants in each of six categories: Arts & Culture, Innovation, Leadership Excellence, Rising Star, Social Impact, and NEW for 2023 – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA). Of this pool of worthy applicants, 24 were selected as finalists, each of which will receive $1,000, and one in each category was announced as the category winner.

“Although we have been supporters of the Imagine Awards since its inception 11 years ago, in 2017 we decided to sponsor the Arts & Culture Award in recognition of Claire’s deep appreciation for all things artistic, said foundation President Peter J. Klein.” It’s been our pleasure to recognize the important work of Long Island’s arts organizations, who often have to go above and beyond just to compete for fundraising dollars amongst so many other charitable causes.”
